I encountered Wenona, a homeless Native American woman. Wenona shared that her grandmother brought her to Church on the Leech Lake Indian Reservation as a child. I recounted the stories about Jesus that my maternal grandmother, Myrtle, shared with my sister and I a half-century past. But alas, Wenona's hard life eroded her childhood faith. But the Lord 'gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.'

She responded with flat affect 'Very bad stuff has happened to me. Very bad. Too painful to talk about.' I attempted to comfort Anna but her pain was too raw. Although she did not elaborate, my Spirit screamed extreme sexual abuse.

Foster asked that I pray for Savannah, a younger sister trapped in an abusive relationship. These young siblings knew about God academically but never sought personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

He was 'hard ground' as he claimed his god was probably different from ours. I offered him a copy of the Bible, but he refused it. He said he will meet God when he dies. I told him he needs to be ready beforehand to meet Him. He said he is ready. We prayed for him afterwards.'
